ANOTHER AMAZING YEAR IS CELEBRATED- 2015!

Maxwells in Salon Awards Night to Celebrate 2015

This was the 14th year of Maxwells celebrating individuals success as well as looking back on how much the team had achieved throughout the year.

This year Maxwells awards was held at the Wyboston Lakes hotel. On arrival the team had the opportunity to have their photos taken individually and with partners by a professional photographer. The proceedings started with a delicious three course meal followed by two of the team being randomly selected to play a 1000 drop with some general knowledge questions as well as some which were industry specific.

Before the awards one of the highlights of the evening is a 30 minute video presentation the year in which each and every team members achievements both personal and professional are mentioned. This year’s theme was fairytales, in which every member of the team was given a fairytale character and the story of their year and comical personality traits were narrated Ian. This culminated in a very funny (secretly filmed) “hangover” type slide show of some of the boyfriends, brothers and Dads of the team on a chaotic night out. This was completely unexpected and the team found it hilarious.

There were departmental winners- Best therapist, Ladies and Mens stylists as well as Best newcomer, an award for Best overall customer service and Best Trainee ( all our trainee’s won this this year!).

Team members loyalty was also recognised for 5, 10, 15 and even 25 years service which went to Nicola Walker who was presented with a week’s cruise.

Team members who had stayed healthy and had very little time off sick were rewarded with extra days paid holiday

The two main awards for the team to aspire towards are the Overall Personal Development and the Overall Personal Commitment awards. Past winners have been sent to Las Vegas, New York, Private Villa holidays and Cruises.

This year’s winners were Emily Hibbet for development and Sophie Pryor for commitment both of which were treated to a 5 star hotel break to Dubai.

Unfortunately two years ago Maxwells lost their manager Kirsty Buttigieg to cancer and have in the last year alone raised over 11k in her memory for a local hospice. One of the most converted awards is the Buttercup award in which the team vote for their  most supportive team member. This year’s award went to Catriona Cleaver who has been with the company for over 20 years.
